"Go confidently in the
direction of your dreams, live the life you have imagined.”
Henry Thoreau
Hey Rodeo Fans!
My name is Amanda Delaplane and I am the 90th Annual Livermore Rodeo Queen. I
am 21 years old and I live in Castro Valley.
I have been riding horses since I was a young girl. When I was in high school
I participated in the NorCal Junior rodeo and High school rodeo circuits.
Currently, I am an EMT (emergency medical technician) and I attend Las Positas
College and Chabot College to pursue my dream of becoming a nurse. When I am
not studying or riding I enjoy running, wakeboarding and spending time with my
family, friends and my two dogs Cali and Teddy. I also enjoy volunteering at
SonRise Equestrian Foundation where “kids in crises and horses meet.”
Having this title is truly a dream come true for me. I feel deeply honored to
have been chosen to represent the 90th Annual Livermore Rodeo. When I was a little
girl I always dreamed of being a rodeo queen. There have been many people who
have helped me get where I am today and I would like to thank everyone for helping
me fulfill my dream. I would like to thank a few people in particular. First,
I would like to thank our Sponsors, and the Livermore Stockmen’s Rodeo
Association. Without all your hard work and dedication we wouldn’t have
such a wonderful rodeo. Second, I would like to thank all our fans for their
continuous support in keeping America’s # 1 sport alive. Next, I would
like to thank Ryan and the Nelson family for their endless support, generosity
and kindness. Lastly, I would like to thank my parents, without them I wouldn’t
be the person I am today. Mom, Dad thank you for giving me the recipe to success
and for always reminding me to reach for my dreams and to use my heart in everything
I do.
I am looking forward to this next year representing the “Worlds Fastest
Rodeo”. So, grab your hat and boots and join me at the action packed 90th
Annual Livermore Rodeo on June 14th and 15th.
Blessings!
