Welcome to the Livermore Rodeo

Dearest Rodeo Fans,

I'm Rachel Nelson your 2009 Livermore Rodeo Queen. I'm so unbelievably stoked to represent the “World's Fastest Rodeo”!

We have an absolutely awesome Rodeo. Put Saturday June 13th and Sunday June 14th on your calendar to be there with me to see the action. From the riveting thrill of Bull Riding to the daring speed of women Barrel Racing, Livermore Rodeo is an event you won't want to miss.

Being a Livermore native, it's been my dream since I was five years old riding my horse in the Livermore Rodeo Parade, to one day be Miss Livermore Rodeo. I've attended our great Rodeo for many years and couldn't be prouder to have this opportunity to share the excitement.

I'm a 19 year old Business Management student at Las Positas College. On Sundays you can catch me at Cedar Grove Church, or at a rodeo. I live with my family, four horses, and six dogs. My family has supported me as I have ridden in many Junior Rodeos, barrel races, Gymkhanas, FFA and 4-H.

Every chance I get I'm in the saddle. My favorite horse is named Rocky. Rocky is a big stocky roan quarter horse. Together Rocky and I have done everything. You'll meet him at the 2009 Livermore Rodeo.

I'd like to thank the wonderful Livermore Stockman's Rodeo Association who make it all happen. I also am grateful for my dear family and friends for their unwavering support. Thanks Livermore Rodeo fans for supporting America's #1 sport, RODEO!
